Admissions Counselor

The Admissions Representative I plays a vital role in the University of Alabama's efforts to identify and enroll qualified undergraduate students. This position requires a strong ability to counsel individuals throughout the admissions and enrollment process, evaluating prospective students' academic preparation and interests to determine appropriate opportunities at the University.
Key Responsibilities- Represent the University at on- and off-campus events and information sessions, providing superior customer service for prospective students and families.
- Coordinate and plan in-depth visits for prospective students and families, enabling each prospective student to experience the full extent of the in- and out-of-classroom experiences on campus.
- Assist visitors in the main Admissions Office and/or the Admissions Welcome Center, attending college fairs, making presentations, and communicating information with prospective students, their families, guidance counselors, alumni, and friends of UA.
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Ability to obtain a Class C Commercial Driver's License within 6 months of being hired.
- Ability to travel alone out of town, sometimes overnight, with some evening and weekend work required.
- Interest in working with prospective college students and their families.
- Ability to work with different cultures and groups of people.
- Basic knowledge in the usage of personal computers and standard application software.
