Job Overview

LaBine and Associates seeks a seasoned Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead our firm's IT strategy and cybersecurity initiatives. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive IT plans, ensuring the security and integrity of our data, and driving technological innovation to support our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the firm's business objectives.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and client service.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of technology projects, ensuring they meet business requirements and deadlines.
  • Establish and maintain robust cybersecurity policies and practices to protect sensitive data.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including data protection and privacy laws.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate IT-related risks.
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and software applications.
  • Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of the firm's IT systems.
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
  • Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Identify training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Set performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations to ensure high performance.
  • Collaborate with legal professionals and administrative staff to understand their technology needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Communicate IT strategies and initiatives to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure the IT department delivers exceptional service and support to all users.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chief Information Officer (CIO) at a law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of legal industry IT requirements and best practices.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Information Security Officer (CISO).
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Extensive experience in IT management, cybersecurity, and project management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
