The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) within AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is tasked with driving revenue and growth across a diverse range of customers, from small and mid-market accounts to large enterprises, including public sector clients. Our approach is to address our customers' most intricate and critical challenges by crafting and executing comprehensive go-to-market strategies that transform AWS concepts into substantial business opportunities.
In this role, you will be a pivotal leader within the Worldwide Specialist Team, spearheading the global go-to-market strategy for AWS concerning RISE and BTP. You will collaborate with specialists, architects, partners, and account teams globally, establishing direction and standards for addressing customer challenges in your area of expertise. Your role will involve partnering with both technical and business teams across AWS, ensuring that the customer perspective is integrated into our product development initiatives.
As the BTP GTM Lead, you will engage with SAP and AWS teams, including Solution Architects, Solutions & GTM Programs, Engineering, and Partner Organizations, to create a cohesive GTM strategy that highlights AWS's differentiation for BTP. You will also influence product strategies to introduce innovative services on BTP on AWS and develop compelling content and messaging for AWS sellers to effectively communicate BTP's unique advantages.
With a history of collaboration dating back to 2008, AWS and SAP have worked together to ensure that AWS supports a wide array of SAP solutions. We have introduced specialized EC2 instances tailored to meet SAP customer requirements and have enabled SAP to leverage AWS services for their SaaS and PaaS offerings. Today, numerous customers rely on AWS for their SAP ERP and critical business systems, utilizing various deployment models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the go-to-market strategy to coordinate sales efforts across marketing, partnerships, product development, training, and professional services to enhance technology adoption.
- Utilize your extensive domain knowledge to develop top-tier field enablement and sales strategies.
- Assist field teams in crafting solutions for high-priority clients.
- Relay market insights back to product teams to drive innovation in AWS product roadmaps.
- Manage reporting and planning cycles for AWS executives regarding GTM plan execution.
- Exhibit thought leadership and represent AWS credibly at industry events and conferences.
- 10+ years of experience in SAP business development, strategic partnerships, or program/product management.
- 10+ years of experience assisting customers with technology decisions, particularly in cloud and managed services.
- 6+ years of experience in responding to requests for proposals, including determining requirements and developing solutions.
- Expert-level knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and RISE with SAP.
- Familiarity with AWS services and their application in modernizing SAP.
- Experience in data interpretation and making informed business recommendations.
- Proven track record in negotiating and executing complex legal agreements.
