Job Summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Instrument Processing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in the preparation and sterilization of medical instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate sterilization schedules to meet the daily operating room needs
  • Manage staff workload to ensure the needs of the next business day instrument list are met
  • Train and mentor technician staff on proper decontamination and sterilization procedures
  • Collect and document biological test results to ensure functionality of sterilizing equipment
  • Troubleshoot departmental equipment and coordinate repairs as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years of experience in sterile processing or a related field
  • Certification in sterile processing or a related field (CBSPD, CRCST, CSPDT, or CST)
