At Aura Staffing Partners, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in our healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Maintain and operate sterilization equipment, including autoclaves, sterilizers, washers, and ultrasonic cleaners.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of sterile supplies.
- Conduct routine checks and maintenance of sterilization equipment.
- Keep accurate records of sterilization procedures and inventory levels.
- Follow all infection control and safety procedures to maintain a sterile environment.
- Collaborate with surgical and medical staff to meet equipment needs.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a sterile processing environment.
- Certification/License/Registration: Must have one of the following certifications:
- Certified Board Sterile Processing & Distribution (CBSPD)
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
- Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician (CSPDT)
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including possible evenings and weekends.
