Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled SMT Technician to join our team at MER-MAR ELECTRONICS INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various duties within the SMT assembly area, ensuring high-quality production and adherence to established procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform precision soldering on PCBAs with attention to detail and quality.
  • Interpret drawings, bills of material, manuals, and other work instructions to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries, wearing personal protective equipment as required.
  • Detect malfunctions of assembly equipment through visual and audio cues.
  • Communicate with Senior Technicians and QC personnel to resolve quality issues.
  • Make accurate entries into Travelers, Time Standards, and the Work Order Document Package.
  • Maintain product traceability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience soldering electronic components for PCBAs.
  • IPC 610 training.
  • JEDEC J-STD-001 training.
  • Knowledge of extra IPC standards is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ESD/MSL requirements for components and PCB/PCBAs.
