Job Overview

The SMT Touch-Up & Rework Technician is a key member of our production team at MER-MAR ELECTRONICS INC, responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our SMT assembly area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Precision Soldering: Perform high-precision soldering on PCBAs to meet our quality standards.
  • Interpretation and Documentation: Interpret drawings, bills of material, manuals, and other work instructions to ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping.
  • Safety and Quality: Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries, wear personal protective equipment, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Detect malfunctions of assembly equipment through visual and audio cues, and communicate with senior technicians and QC personnel to resolve quality issues.
  • Record-Keeping: Make accurate entries into Travelers, Time Standards, and the Work Order Document Package, and maintain traceability of product.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-Years experience soldering electronic components for PCBAs.
  • IPC 610 training.
  • JEDEC J-STD-001 training.
  • Extra IPC standards knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ESD / MSL requirements for components and PCB/PCBAs.
