Job Summary

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist at the Detroit Medical Center, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional to join our team in Commerce Township, Michigan.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory therapy services to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders, including diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct patient assessments, evaluate therapy effectiveness, and delegate tasks to other team members as needed.
  • Instruct employees and students on respiratory care procedures and evaluate their competence.
  • Function as an in-charge therapist and preceptor, as requested.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an AMA/CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
  • Associates degree in Science, Allied Health, or equivalent, or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Registration (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • BCLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification preferred.
  • Licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan.
