Job Title: Power Electronics Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical power systems for industrial, commercial, and utility-scale applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Design: Develop conceptual designs, single-line diagrams, and schematics for electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution networks.
  • Equipment Specification: Specify electrical equipment and components for power systems, such as generators, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protective relays.
  • Analysis and Simulation: Perform power system analysis using simulation software to assess system performance, stability, and reliability.
  • Protection and Control: Develop protection and control schemes for electrical power systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Renewable Energy Integration: Integrate renewable energy sources into existing power systems, evaluating grid integration challenges and proposing solutions to optimize renewable energy integration and maximize system efficiency.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices in power engineering.
  • Project Management: Manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare technical specifications, design reports, engineering drawings, and documentation packages for power system projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in power systems engineering, preferably in power generation, transmission, or distribution.
  • Proficiency in power system analysis software and CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of power system fundamentals, including load flow, short-circuit analysis, transient stability, and protection coordination.
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment, components, and standards for power systems design and installation.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, grid integration, and energy storage systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
  • Professional engineering license (PE) or willingness to obtain licensure.

Salary: $150,000 - $190,000 per year
