We are seeking a highly skilled English Language Development Teacher to join our team at Adams 12 Five Star Schools. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic success of our multilingual learners.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement language development instruction consistent with our district's curriculum, utilizing the WIDA framework and standards.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure best practices for multilingual learners are implemented throughout the school day.
- Administer required language proficiency and academic achievement tests, ensuring proper placement in ELD courses/groups according to district guidelines.
- Maintain cumulative folders with required paperwork for English language learners and run student reports weekly to ensure accuracy of data.
- Collaborate with building administration to collect and complete all required paperwork for the ML student redesignation process.
- Assist in monitoring Fluent English Proficient (FEP) students who have exited from ELD services within the last two years.
- Remain current in all district CLDE related communications and attend IEP, Section 504, or other related meetings necessary for student assessment and/or compliance with federal and/or state law.
- Facilitate ELD Consult model for consult students when applicable and assist in collecting and analyzing data for increasing student achievement.
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Valid Colorado Educator License.
- ESL, Bilingual, or (LDE) Linguistically Diverse Education, (CLDE) Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education endorsement required.
