Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at TBWA\\(Chiat\Day, a leading AI robotics company based in Sunnyvale, CA. As a key member of our corporate team, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive legal support across various business functions, managing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Legal Advisory: Provide clear, concise legal advice on issues impacting the company's business, including regulatory compliance, intellectual property, employment law, and corporate governance.
  • Contract Review & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and third parties, balancing legal risks with business needs.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential legal risks, providing recommendations to mitigate them, and support the implementation of risk management strategies.
  • Corporate Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to corporate governance requirements and oversee compliance with applicable laws and regulations, keeping management informed of relevant changes.
  • Dispute Resolution & Litigation: Manage and advise on disputes, litigation, and regulatory inquiries, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
Requirements:
  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; active Bar membership in California
  • Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably including a mix of in-house experience and law firm/corporate roles
  • Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and business practices. Familiarity with contract law, employment law, intellectual property, and compliance is a plus
