We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Faculty member to join our team at Nova Southeastern University. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching College of Osteopathic Medicine courses, providing consultative services to college outpatient clinics, and participating in department and college-wide committee meetings.
Key Responsibilities- Teach College of Osteopathic Medicine courses in the classroom or in small group discussion or laboratory as assigned.
- Provide consultative services to college outpatient clinics.
- Participate in small groups, laboratories, etc. as requested.
- Provide and maintain a reliable schedule of office hours for student advising, tutoring, remediation, and consultation.
- Participate in department and college-wide committee meetings.
- Engage in curriculum development related to current and new courses.
- Maintain a personal professional development plan which may include research or other creative activities to assure growth and current within the field of Osteopathic Principles and Practice.
- Display professional behavior and ethics in all aspects of job performance.
- Perform other appropriate duties as assigned or required.
- Terminal degree (DO or MD degree) with board certification in appropriate area of specialization or Ph.D., if teaching only.
- Between four (4) to six (6) years of related experience and/or training, including research or equivalent combination of educational and clinical experience.
