Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Assistant Instructor to join our team at Ultimate Medical Academy. As a Dental Assistant Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching centralized curriculum in accordance with assigned schedules. You will demonstrate proficiency with course content and materials, build and maintain positive relationships with students, and promote high levels of student engagement. You will also facilitate discussion forums, proactively monitor students' performance, and provide academic feedback in a constructive and timely manner. Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach centralized curriculum in accordance with assigned schedules.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with course content and materials.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with students.
  • Promote high levels of student engagement.
  • Facilitate discussion forums.
  • Proactively monitor students' performance.
  • Provide academic feedback in a constructive and timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree with an equivalent of 15 semester credit hours in the subject field for Healthcare Instructor.
  • Academic preparation in the specific courses taught.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of occupational experience as a Dental Assistant or three (3) years of experience as a Dentist.
  • Registered Dental Assistant certification, Certified Dental Assistant certification or equivalent required.
  • Proficient verbal and written English.
  • Able to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
Working Environment:
  • Will work at ground campus location as assigned in a shared workspace, may include online or virtual instructional opportunities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Physical Demands:
  • Requires long periods of sitting at workspace or desk and also time spent working on a computer.
  • Requires occasional bending, stooping and squatting.
  • Requires occasional lifting of up to 10lbs.
