Safety Officer Job Description

At Equus Workforce Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled Safety Officer to join our team. As a key member of our workforce development services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our staff, students, and program participants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and health and safety practices.
  • Conduct regular environmental safety inspections and provide support to Center staff, instructors, and students.
  • Investigate safety incidents and provide clear and accurate reports to the Safety/Security Manager and Center Director or Designee.
  • Facilitate monthly Safety Committee meetings and provide safety awards and recognition.
  • Ensure all PRH 5.9 R5 required inspections are conducted daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Collaborate with Center staff to maintain a safe and respectful work environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety or related field.
  • Two years related experience, including experience working with youth.
  • A valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
