The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and leading a crew of workers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing project timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general construction tasks with a focus on concrete and electrical work
  • Oversee a team of three-to-four workers
  • Safely operate and maneuver equipment trailers
  • Read and understand blueprints and sketches, building to specification instructions with precision and quality
  • Ensure job coordination from start to finish to maximize efficiency and safety
  • Provide detailed and accurate reporting of daily duties performed
  • Restore areas where work has been performed (leveling, seeding, and straw)
  • Ensure adequate manpower and resources
  • Coordinate with other companies for heavy equipment and essential supplies, working with other departments or agencies to ensure project completion
  • Maintain a clean and safe jobsite
  • Responsible for assigned work outcomes
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Skills

  • Willingness to travel up to 85% of the time in the Midwest, generally for 3-4 weeks followed by one week at home
  • Three years' experience as a Construction Foreman
  • Able to read and understand blueprints
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and email
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills
  • Able to work in various physical positions, such as sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and driving
  • Regular exposure to all weather conditions, including hot, cold, humid, and rainy conditions throughout the year
  • May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on site
  • Must wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and high-visibility vests when working on-site

Estimated salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
