Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for adhering to and maintaining all quality system procedures and requirements related to the position.
  • Responsible for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner.
  • Selects products at specified intervals and performs dimensional measurements utilizing micrometers, calipers, RAM, optical and profilometer as defined on QCP and monitor sheet.
  • Basic interpretation of QCP and engineering drawings, and interpretation of GD&T.
  • Record and evaluate inspection data to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
  • Complete non-conforming material report and place product on hold where necessary.
  • Inform appropriate personnel of all quality problems.
  • Signs off product on production floor.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; ANSTAT software; GD&T; SPC and Variation; Ability to learn new software as needed.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.

The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
