Wound Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Bushwick Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare. As a Wound Care Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents and ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible for the care and management of all open wounds in the facility, including cleaning and dressing.
- Completing admission paperwork and ensuring accurate documentation of resident care services.
- Providing advice and support to residents and their families, promoting a positive and respectful environment.
- Monitoring residents and administering medication and treatments as prescribed.
- Documenting resident care services and maintaining accurate records.
- Protecting residents and staff by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Resolving resident problems and needs through effective communication and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintaining resident confidence by keeping information confidential.
- Tracking and monitoring infection control, including monthly reports.
- Current NYS State RN License.
- Long-Term Care experience preferred.
- Must be wound and ostomy certified.
- Solid computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Bushwick Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare is a 225-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility located on the border of Brooklyn and Queens.
