Dental Assistant I/ Extended Function Dental Assistant

The Dental Assistant provides critical support to Dental Providers with direct patient care at a community-based dental center, treating patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist with patient care, including passing instruments and keeping patients comfortable.
- Sterilize equipment and instruments to prevent the spread of infection.
- Take digital X-rays and prepare the operatory for procedures.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide information on dental procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and ensure patient charts are up-to-date.
- Order and stock supplies, and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant/ EFDA program.
- CPR Certified (or able to obtain certification within 4 months of job placement).
- DANB certified for taking radiographs (or become certified within 4 months of job placement).
- One year of chairside assistance preferred.
