Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing general mechanic maintenance activities in a team atmosphere to meet or exceed our safety, environmental, and production goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform work in compliance with plant and specific area safety regulations.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair various types of mechanical equipment, including pumps, valves, compressors, conveyors, blowers, heat exchangers, centrifuges, and miscellaneous rotating equipment.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on the same equipment.
  • Perform rigging, pump rebuilding, pipefitting, painting, and carpentry.
  • Fabricate, replace, and install piping systems.
  • Fabricate, replace, and install peripheral structural steel.
  • Support plant programs, industry standards, and government regulations such as critical safety programs, OSHA, and NFPA.
  • Be knowledgeable, trained, and adhere to all federal regulations and company policies pertaining to pollution and hazardous materials.
  • Perform work with minimum supervision from written or verbal work orders.
  • Perform housekeeping to maintain clean and safe standards.
  • Adhere to all established work rules.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a mechanic or maintenance technician or building tradesman.
  • Certification for welding, machinist, millwright, pipefitting, industrial painting, operating engineer, or sheet metal.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The individual frequently is required to stand, walk, or sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The individual must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
