Position Overview
The role of the Customer Service Representative involves managing and documenting all aspects of incoming and outgoing shipments. This position is responsible for preparing shipments and receiving deliveries at the warehouse, utilizing advanced warehouse management systems.

  • Document Management: Oversee the preparation, creation, retrieval, validation, and storage of essential documents to support operational efficiency.
  • Shipping Preparation: Label, pack, and load items for shipment in accordance with established specifications.
  • Shipment Staging: Organize shipments in preparation for dispatch.
  • Receiving Operations: Accept incoming shipments and prepare the docks for efficient receiving.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate stretch wrap banders and prepare pallets and crates for shipping.
  • Delivery Handling: Unload delivery vehicles and relocate items to designated areas.
  • Inspection Duties: Conduct inspections for damage, verify items and quantities against freight bills or other records, and document any discrepancies.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain comprehensive records of all items received and shipped using warehouse management and inventory systems.
  • Receipt Verification: Check receipts against purchase orders to ensure accuracy regarding shipments, shortages, damages, or defects.
  • Inventory Management: Keep track of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Ensure the work area and equipment are kept clean and orderly, adhering to safety regulations.
  • Inspection Readiness: Maintain facility readiness for inspections by regulatory bodies and customers.
  • Inventory Monitoring: In a CGMP environment, oversee proper inventory practices including FIFO (First In First Out), Lot, and Age.
  • Cycle Counts: Assist with periodic inventory cycle counts as needed.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate's degree or two years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Minimum of six months experience in a warehouse or distribution setting.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Must pass background and drug screening.
