Key Responsibilities- Perform planned maintenance and repairs on medical devices and equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly and safely.
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to understand operational problems and develop effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, as well as Trinity Health's Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
- Associate's degree in medical electronics, electronic technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five or more years of experience in medical device repair and maintenance, with a focus on clinical equipment.
- Specialized training in areas such as anesthesia machines, sterilizers, ultrasound, ventilators, laser, and laboratory analyzers.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
This role requires the ability to work in a variety of environments, including hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare settings. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally, as well as push or pull over 100 pounds frequently. You must also be able to adapt to changing work priorities and travel to various locations as needed.
