About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Plant Laborer to join our team at Preferred Materials - Asphalt Division in Nokomis, FL. As an Asphalt Plant Laborer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our asphalt plant, performing a wide range of tasks including shoveling, moving materials, and maintaining good housekeeping while adhering to all safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general labor duties at the asphalt plant, including shoveling, moving materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Operate equipment such as loaders and backhoes, as needed.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of plant equipment.
- Participate in safety training and adhere to all safety protocols.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as construction or manufacturing.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
