About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Asphalt Plant Laborer to join our team at Preferred Materials - Asphalt Division, a leading provider of high-quality hot mix and warm mix asphalt. As an Asphalt Plant Laborer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our asphalt plants, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, and contributing to the success of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of general duties at an asphalt plant, including shoveling, moving materials, and maintaining good housekeeping while adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Assist in the operation of asphalt plant equipment, including loaders and backhoes.
  • Participate in regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals and deadlines.
Requirements
  • Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds, walk, stoop, squat, sit, kneel, and be capable of passing required physical examination.
  • Maintain reliable attendance, meeting company standards, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Experience with loader/backhoe operation is preferred.
