Counselor - Behavioral Health Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Counselor to join our team at Family Service League. As a Counselor, you will provide individual and group therapy to children, families, and adults with a range of DSM diagnoses in an outpatient clinic located in Mattituck. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality services that meet the unique needs of our clients.

Responsibilities

* Provide evaluation/assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention to those with behavioral health needs.
* Provide individual and family therapy to children ages 5 and up, adolescents, and adults with a full range of DSM diagnoses.
* Deliver services in a trauma-informed, culturally and linguistically competent manner.
* Collaborate with other family and collateral contacts, including care coordination providers.
* Participate in routine supervision and team meetings.

Requirements

* Master's degree in a relevant human service field required.
* LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, or related licensed clinical degree required.
* At least one year of experience working in a behavioral health setting required.
* Prior experience diagnosing using the DSM V and experience with behavioral/therapeutic interventions for children, adolescents, and adults preferred.
