Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Elderwood at Grand Island. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of individuals by making recommendations for speech-language therapy treatment plans and carrying out treatments as planned. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping residents overcome communication difficulties and achieve their full potential.

About the Role

This is a Regular Full-Time position with an estimated salary of $35.00 per hour. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals who share a passion for delivering high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screens residents for communication problems and conducts in-depth evaluations to make written recommendations for therapy plans.
  • Coordinates audiometric screening tests and makes referrals for further audiology evaluations or treatments as needed.
  • Initiates speech-language therapy plans according to physician orders and maintains required contact with physicians during the therapy program.
  • Treats residents with respect and kindness, maintaining their rights and dignity.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • A valid state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Clinical Competence Certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Current, valid CPR/BLS certification.
  • Maturity, diplomacy, and the ability to work well with others.
