As a pivotal member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position is designed for a skilled Registered Nurse who is ready to take on the responsibilities of a Rapid Response Nurse at our esteemed facility.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Assistant Charge Nurse to manage daily assignments and address critical care requirements.
2. Utilize communication tools effectively to enhance coordination among team members.
3. Conduct rounds on various units, providing support and guidance to staff regarding medication administration, documentation, IV insertions, and overall patient care.
4. Respond promptly to emergency situations, including rapid responses, code blue events, and other critical activations.
5. Assist in the collection and maintenance of data related to rapid response and code events.
6. Facilitate the safe transport of monitored patients to necessary testing or designated areas.
7. Support the admissions and discharges process, ensuring smooth transitions for patients.
8. Engage in emergent procedures as your skills permit, enhancing patient outcomes.
9. Foster an environment that promotes staff development, competency, and proficiency in nursing practices and critical thinking.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of experience in ICU, Emergency Department, or equivalent critical care settings is essential.
- Strong communication skills are a must.
- Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are required.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
