Position Overview

This role is pivotal in overseeing the direction, coordination, and operation of the Grab and Go production lines. The individual in this position ensures that the highest quality products are produced efficiently and in the correct quantities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively perform all roles within the Grab and Go department as required.
  • Communicate production schedules and assignments to line leads and material handlers.
  • Maintain Work in Process (WIP) carts to meet specifications and uphold food safety standards daily.
  • Conduct product inventories and manage inventory levels.
  • Ensure production teams remain focused and address any issues that arise.
  • Assist in the hiring process, disciplinary actions, and scheduling alongside the Team Lead.
  • Complete all necessary documentation on a daily basis.
  • Ensure adherence to product specifications.
  • Conduct product yield tests for the Team Lead or Manager.
  • Reconcile daily inputs and outputs to ensure accurate lot coding and inventory management.
  • Monitor finished products for quality assurance.
  • Manage labor costs through effective productivity measures.
  • Maintain open communication with company leadership and other departments, proactively addressing concerns.
  • Adhere to allergen, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and safety policies.
  • Foster a safe working environment to minimize injuries and workers' compensation claims.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations relevant to this position.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the food industry, particularly in quality and production.
  • Forklift operation experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively relay processing results across all company levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Proficient organizational and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all functional areas within the production environment.
  • Ability to work in a cold and wet environment.
  • Physical capability to stand or walk for extended periods (8+ hours daily).
  • Regularly lift 50+ pounds.
