Basic Employment Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with heavy machinery, specifically CAT equipment.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and the use of required safety gear.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or actions to your supervisor.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening and alcohol test.
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety and employment guidelines.
  • Dependability and consistency in attendance and punctuality.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Ability to tolerate varying temperatures and job site conditions.

Minimum Physical Requirements:

  • Full range of motion in neck, back, and hands, with the ability to exert muscle force repeatedly.
  • Capability to climb in and out of equipment independently.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Comfortable walking on uneven surfaces and wearing protective gear.
  • Ability to twist, stoop, and bend while maintaining balance.
  • Spend approximately 80% of the time on your feet or walking.

This position is classified as 'Safety-sensitive,' meaning any impairment due to drug or alcohol use could jeopardize the health or safety of individuals.

Essential Job Skills:

  • Conduct maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Operate machinery under various conditions, including nighttime, adverse weather, and emergencies.
  • Exercise sound judgment regarding safety and health.
  • Complete and comprehend necessary paperwork for the role.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Collaborate effectively with others while also being able to work independently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
  • Accurately complete daily time cards and other required documentation.

Education/Other Requirements:

  • Degree in Diesel Mechanics.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation.
