Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Store Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team at Ross Dress for Less in Texas.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position responsible for protecting company assets and reducing shrinkage through proactive measures such as monitoring sales floor activity, identifying potential theft indicators, and collaborating with store leadership to implement effective loss prevention strategies.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in loss prevention or a related field, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • The successful candidate will be required to maintain a high level of visibility on the sales floor, providing excellent customer service while ensuring the security and integrity of our stores.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and associates by identifying potential safety issues and taking corrective action.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with store teams, fostering an environment of trust and open communication.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with company policies and procedures, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in loss prevention or a related field; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Active Security Guard License preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with store teams.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store.
  • Must be able to raise or lower objects more than 25 lbs., from one level to another.

Salary Range:

$50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
