Emergency Department Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Nurse to join our team at Steward Health Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families in the Emergency Department.
Job Summary:The Emergency Department Nurse will be responsible for assessing, intervening, and stabilizing patients with a variety of medical conditions. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to our patients and families.
Responsibilities:- Provide patient care based on established standards of care, protocols, and policies.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assess and prioritize patient needs, seeking assistance as needed from appropriate resources.
- Document patient information, therapeutic interventions, and patient responses in a timely and accurate manner.
- Identify and report potential safety risks and opportunities for error reduction.
- Administer medications and intravenous therapy according to physician orders, protocols, and policies.
- Assess and manage patient pain levels, utilizing pain scales and documenting patient responses.
- Delegate and supervise nursing interventions performed by others.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to perform medication dosing calculations.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current nursing license in Massachusetts.
- BCLS and ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
- TNCC and ENPC certification required within 1 year of hire.
