The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is recognized for its innovative approach within Caterpillar. Our focus is on customer satisfaction and facilitating their journey in building a better world. We engage in various aspects of the service value chain, from procurement and design to manufacturing and distribution. PSLD oversees Aftermarket Parts Distribution, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement, and the design and manufacture of Wear Components and Maintenance Components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support automated systems by monitoring and resolving equipment issues, managing spare parts inventory, and overseeing re-ordering processes.
  • Act as the primary contact for automation vendors and contractors, tracking equipment performance and reporting to leadership.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing the supply chain process.
  • Collaborate with master planners on outsourcing requirements, establishing blanket purchase orders and vendor-managed inventory.
  • Maintain supply chain application systems and support automation software testing and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure adherence to operational safety protocols.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on automated equipment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in techniques that facilitate effective analysis; capable of identifying root causes of organizational challenges and developing viable solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on knowledge of equipment maintenance and technical troubleshooting; adept at recognizing and resolving technical issues.
  • Process Improvement: Familiarity with best practices in business process improvement and the ability to implement more efficient operational methods.
  • Project Management: Understanding of project management strategies; skilled in planning, organizing, and monitoring projects to achieve objectives.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, across various departments and with external partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment controls and software.
  • Understanding of warehousing processes.
  • Technical knowledge of automated systems, particularly mechanical or electrical systems.
