Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the receiving and merchandising processes, ensuring that all team members are working efficiently and collaboratively.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by engaging with shoppers and maintaining a tidy and organized store environment.
  • Foster a culture of integrity and confidentiality among team members.
  • Manage the logistics of merchandise delivery, prioritizing the placement of new items on the sales floor.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members on established merchandising and processing standards.
  • Ensure that all merchandise is properly tagged, displayed, and secured.
  • Coordinate with the Coordinator on Duty to facilitate the smooth flow of goods to the sales area.
  • Monitor team productivity and provide coaching as needed to enhance performance.
  • Organize back stock for efficient replenishment and maintain cleanliness in the backroom.
  • Ensure compliance with recycling and waste management protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with management and team members regarding priorities and progress updates.
  • Encourage a culture of recognition and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with management to identify training needs for team members.
  • Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote credit and loyalty initiatives to enhance customer engagement.
  • Support efforts to minimize shrinkage and maintain a safe shopping environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Adaptable to changes in direction and unexpected challenges.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy items with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Experience in training others is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year in retail and 6 months in a leadership role.
