Job Title: Electrophysiology Technologist

Job Summary:

The Electrophysiology Technologist will play a critical role in our cardiovascular procedure team, assisting physicians with complex procedures and providing high-quality patient care. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians with electrophysiology procedures, including image acquisition, image processing, and physiologic data acquisition.
  • Provide patient care and management, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients during procedures.
  • Operate high-technology equipment and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to the development of new procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, American Heart Association (required)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification, American Heart Association (preferred)
  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification (preferred)
  • RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist) certification (preferred)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification (preferred)
  • Associates Degree in a Health Sciences or related field (preferred)
  • Clinical patient care experience (required)
  • 1 year of experience or on-the-job training in electrophysiology, aseptic techniques, and cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures (preferred)
Working Conditions:

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads. The successful candidate will be able to maintain a calm and composed demeanor, even in challenging situations.

The Electrophysiology Technologist will be required to work in a dimly lit room, with frequent exposure to human blood and other potentially infectious materials. The role also requires the ability to lift and move patients, as well as perform repetitive arm and hand movements.
