Job Overview

Position Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to become a vital part of our team at Winfield Property Management, LLC. In this role, you will be tasked with the maintenance and upkeep of our properties, ensuring they adhere to the highest standards of safety, aesthetics, and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for executing general repairs and preventative maintenance across our facilities, reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts general repairs in plumbing, electrical systems, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) to maintain facility equipment and systems.
  • Performs inspections on equipment and systems to identify and troubleshoot issues.
  • Implements quarterly preventive maintenance to guarantee the proper functioning of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Addresses service requests from tenants, ensuring prompt completion of maintenance tasks while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Manages inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
  • Executes safety repairs on-site to safeguard both property and residents.
  • Prepares residences for new occupants through refurbishment efforts.
  • Available for emergency on-call situations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repair techniques.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with tenants, contractors, and team members.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to the overall success of Winfield Property Management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous.
  • Certifications in pool maintenance, EPA regulations, HVAC systems, and Fair Housing Training are preferred.
Physical Demands:
  • Extended periods of walking and standing are required.
  • Must be capable of climbing ladders and maneuvering in confined spaces.
  • Ability to operate power equipment is necessary.
  • Must be able to lift significant weights as needed.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
