Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to join our dynamic team in the Stamping Facility. This role is crucial for the enhancement and supervision of automated industrial processes and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis and prepare detailed reports on machinery to identify opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and debug robotic systems and PLC programming.
  • Create and update technical documentation, including operating procedures and training materials.
  • Drive initiatives for process and quality improvements proactively.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and compliance standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma from an accredited institution in fields such as Robotic Technology, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or Industrial Controls.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in industrial automation.
  • Strong ability to retain and effectively communicate information.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.
  • Willingness to work in a 3-shift model, including nights, days, and afternoons, with the potential for overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant experience in industrial automation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of process automation.
  • Self-motivated with a strong initiative.
