Job Summary

As an Activities Coordinator at the Good Samaritan Society, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our patients/residents by providing engaging and meaningful activities. Your creativity and resourcefulness will shine as you design and implement activities that cater to diverse interests and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement activity calendars that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure activities align with patient/resident goals and needs
  • Provide one-on-one and group activities that promote dignity, identity, and optimal functioning
  • Assist with simple nursing procedures and transportation of patients/residents
  • Document activities and outcomes using Minimum Data Set's (MDS's)/EPIC's

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in social services or creative activities preferred
  • Knowledge of working with diverse resident demographics
  • Preferred current Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) certification or currently enrolled as a student in a healthcare related program
