Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. As a Painter, you will be responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of our hotel buildings, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Perform painting tasks in a quality manner, adhering to supervisor's instructions and maintaining a clean work area.
  • Use correct prep techniques and products, protecting adjacent areas from paint splatters.
  • Paint interiors and exteriors of buildings using the correct products and identifying existing finishes.
  • Match existing colors and finishes, tinting as necessary, and maintaining a stocked storeroom.
  • Meet schedules and deadlines, staying motivated to complete tasks on time.
  • Operate a cart and push cart, maintaining equipment and cleaning properly.
  • Be familiar with different painting techniques and responsible for wall treatments, including drywall repairs, patching, painting, wallcovering, texture, and faux finishes.
Requirements
  • At least two years of experience in the trade, preferably with knowledge of finishes, tinting, brush and roller technique, and supervisory experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Pay Rate: $25.50/hr
