Job Title: Assistant Builder Trade Agent/Purchasing

PNL Builders LLC is seeking a skilled Trade Agent/Purchasing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supplier Management: Identify and vet suppliers, negotiate terms and pricing, and maintain strong relationships to secure reliable sources of materials and services.
  • Procurement: Coordinate the procurement process, including obtaining quotes, issuing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries to ensure timely arrival of materials to job sites.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering without compromising quality.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with project requirements and budget constraints.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, monitor usage patterns, and implement strategies to minimize excess inventory and reduce carrying costs.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related field within the construction industry, with a minimum of [3] years in a managerial role.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with purchasing software or ERP systems is preferred.
