Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Great Lakes Ace Hardware. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, generating sales, and maintaining a high level of product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service, answering questions and assisting customers in finding products.
  • Generate sales by using the S.A.L.E.S. process to help customers find everything on their lists.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including new products and ad merchandise.
  • Replenish stock, display and maintain merchandise on end caps, shelves, counters or tables, and follow company plan-ogram.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, using the RF Gun, Back Office Procedures, and Store Opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, and participate in team meetings.
Requirements
  • 6 months related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively with customers or associates.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a moderate noise level. The associate may work near moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $15 per hour and a flexible schedule, including weekends.
