We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer I to join our team in Dallas, Texas. As a key member of our transportation design team, you will be responsible for assisting project managers with planning, designing, and overseeing civil engineering projects, including highways, bridges, surface drainage, and utilities infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist project managers by providing engineering design support, including engineering reports, design calculations, quantity and cost estimates, for roadway, hydraulics, hydrology, and civil engineering design projects.
  • Perform professional engineering work involving the application of standard techniques, procedures, and design criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks.
  • Be responsible for the preparation and production of reports, plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Be involved in all project aspects, from client meetings to design/study development and site/field visits during design and construction.
  • Capable of working independently or within a design team.
  • Excellent communication skills with project team, government agencies, and clients.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum requirement: BA/BS + none or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Preferred qualifications: 1+ years of previous design experience on transportation projects, including schematic development and preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E).
  • Experience designing highway/roadway systems.
  • Experience with design software, including MicroStation and GEOPAK, and/or OpenRoads.
  • Familiar with MS Office 2010 software (Excel, Word, Project).
  • Must be a team player.
  • Experience with ProjectWise and OpenRoads.
  • Experience with GeoPak Drainage, SWMM, HY-8, and HEC Programs.
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
