Position Overview

We are looking for a Security Specialist to contribute to our dynamic support for the Space Development Agency (SDA). Recognized as a transformative force in space acquisition within the Department of Defense, SDA provides space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter to enhance terrestrial missions through the development, deployment, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. SDA leverages a unique business model that prioritizes speed and cost-effectiveness by utilizing commercial development to establish a proliferated architecture and improve resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage personnel processing for SDA
  • Handle incoming and outgoing Visit Access Requests
  • Conduct security indoctrinations
  • Process foreign travel notifications and debriefings
  • Verify clearances for account requests
  • Prepare documentation and packages for distribution
  • Maintain and update personnel records across multiple systems
  • Support internal Security functions, including Physical Security (PHYSEC), Operational Security (OPSEC), and Industrial Security
  • Conduct preliminary inquiries regarding security infractions or violations

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is required (or 4 years of relevant experience)
  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is mandatory
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, with a willingness to engage actively with colleagues, program leadership, and clients, including delivering presentations
