About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our team at Syntricate Technologies. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing test-driven security within our CI/CD pipeline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support DevSecOps Initiatives: Develop and implement test-driven security within our CI/CD pipeline to ensure the highest level of security and compliance.
  • Create Automation: Develop automation to support the NIST Risk Management Framework (SP800-37, SP800-53/53a) to ensure continuous monitoring and authorization.
  • Develop and Track POA&Ms: Develop and track Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to address identified security vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
  • Document Clear Processes: Document clear and repeatable processes and train others to perform automated assessment reviews.
  • Develop Security Assessment Automation Tools: Develop and implement security assessment automation tools to support DevSecOps practices.
  • Collaborate with Development Teams: Collaborate with development teams to integrate security assurance into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Conduct Security Assessments: Conduct security assessments and risk analyses on new and existing software.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise in the creation of security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Work with Compliance Teams: Work closely with compliance teams to ensure continuous monitoring and authorization.
  • Develop Security Training: Assist in developing security training and awareness for technical staff.
  • Stay Current with Security Landscape: Stay current with evolving security landscape, industry trends, tools, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience with security assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Programming Languages: Experience with a wide range of programming languages, automation tools, and scripting languages.
  • DevSecOps Tools: Understanding of languages in the context of various DevSecOps tools and platforms.
  • Compliance Frameworks: Knowledge of compliance frameworks and continuous authorization processes.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Operational Vulnerability Analysis: Operational vulnerability analysis.
  • Deep Understanding of Dev/Sec/Ops: Deep understanding of Dev/Sec/Ops processes and testing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: Certifications such as GCSA, CISSP, CEH, or OSCP.
  • Policy and Assurance Experience: Experience in a policy and assurance or quasi-governmental environment.
  • Cloud Service Providers: Familiarity with cloud service providers and associated security challenges.
