Flagship Facility Services, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Culinary HR Strategist to lead our Human Resources team in the Culinary division. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with high-profile clients and drive strategic initiatives across the organization.

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to frame complex issues, influence stakeholders, and make difficult decisions. A thorough understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures is essential, as well as sound knowledge of employment laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have significant experience operating in a unionized workforce environment.

About the Role:

This position serves as a consultant to front-line leaders on human resources-related issues and acts as a trusted advisor to direct reports. The Culinary HR Strategist will oversee all aspects of Human Resources in the culinary division throughout the United States, ensuring seamless engagement with operations business partners to promote the best work experience for both union and non-union workforces.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with labor relations processes, including cultivating strong relationships with key leaders and stakeholders.
  2. Oversee grievance administration and effectively represent the company in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
  3. Participate in contract negotiations to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.
  4. Act as a collaborator and consulting partner for employee relations team members on complex questions and cases.
  5. Coach and assist managers in developing performance management/corrective action plans.
  6. Predict high-impact issues and recommend solutions.
  7. Lead a small team of HR Business Partners to support projects and compliance with key HR goals and initiatives across the culinary division.
  8. Consult with operations management and field HR teams to provide guidance while building an environment that results in a high client-focus and engaged workforce.

About You:

We are looking for a results-driven professional with at least 10 years of employee relations and investigation experience, including 5+ years of leading an employee relations team within a high-volume environment. Experience working with a unionized workforce is a must. A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related subject is required, along with HRCI/SHRM certification (a plus). Bi-lingual English/Spanish skills are preferred but not required.

  • A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
