Flagship Facility Services, Inc. is a leading provider of facility services with an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Culinary Operations and Human Resources to oversee our Culinary division and high-profile clients.

Job Description

The Head of Culinary Operations and Human Resources is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources in the culinary division throughout the United States. This position serves as a consultant to frontline leaders on human resources-related issues, as well as the trusted advisor to their direct reports.

The successful candidate will possess strong planning, organizational, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills and has successfully demonstrated the ability to effectively manage multiple projects in an extremely fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have significant experience operating in a union multi-state environment.

This role requires a thorough understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures, including employee relations case management and advisory experience, employment law knowledge, and leadership skills with the ability to frame, confront, and present complex issues to varying audiences.

The successful candidate will also be able to work with an array of people in a sensitive manner, think strategically, drive results, and possess excellent assertive communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key leaders and stakeholders in the labor relations process.
  • Oversee grievance administration and represent the company in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
  • Participate in contract negotiations to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.
  • Act as a consulting partner for the employee relations team members on complex questions and cases.
  • Develop performance management/corrective action plans for managers.
  • Lead a small team of HR Business Partners to support projects and compliance with key HR goals and initiatives across the culinary division.
  • Collaborate with operations management and field HR teams to provide guidance and maintain an environment for team members that results in a high client-focus and an engaged workforce.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, human resources, or related subject; or equivalent experience.
  • Ten plus years of employee relations and investigation experience, 5 plus years of leading an employee relations team within a high-volume environment.
  • 5 plus years' experience working with a unionized workforce.
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 per year
