Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CDL A Driver with a tanker endorsement to join our team at Wagman. As a key member of our Grooving and Grinding team, you will be responsible for operating our grinder & bridge groover on construction sites, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of materials, and performing routine maintenance on equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating grinder & bridge groover
• Carrying, loading, unloading, and stacking materials
• Operating/ driving CDL type truck
• Moving material, including soil and rock, from location to location on the job site
• Driving on rough terrain in a safe manner
• Performing routine maintenance to equipment on a daily basis and reporting any mechanical problems immediately to the supervisor

Requirements:

• CDL A with tanker endorsement
• Experience in heavy highway construction preferred
• Familiarity with concrete work, paving, bridge construction, and other highway construction tasks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds from ground level to waist level and assist with loading and/or unloading
• Must be able to be bounced around when driving on very rough terrain. Must be willing to help in other construction-related tasks when not driving
• Must be able to climb into cab of truck and climb down from the truck cab
• Must be able to bend, squat, and kneel to perform essential tasks, including maintenance and inspection of equipment
• Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands to move levers/controls to operate the truck and dump attachment
• Required to have acceptable corrected vision (in both eyes) and acceptable corrected hearing
• Must be able to work outdoors in wet, muddy, cold, hot, and humid weather
