About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team at Allina Health. As a key member of our orthopedic care team, you will provide expert care to patients with hip and knee conditions, working collaboratively with other specialists to ensure comprehensive management of their arthritis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care for musculoskeletal patients, including injections and urgent care services.
  • Review patient medical history, collect and prioritize comprehensive data, and make decisions regarding patient care.
  • Work collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being, providing education, consultation, and intervention as needed.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team approach to case management, actively contributing to patient care and outcomes.
  • May provide care in an ambulatory clinic, inpatient or outpatient hospital setting, and may participate in on-call rotation.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine required.
  • Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Orthopedic Surgery required.
  • 0 to 2 years of demonstrated experience in designated specialty area required, and 0 to 2 years of experience in research, presentations and sideline coverage preferred.
  • Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice required, and must be board certified or be eligible for board certification within designated specialty upon hire.
  • ACLS-BLS Tier 3 - Multisource required within 180 Days.
