We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Protection Manager to join our team at Constellation Energy. As a key member of our Radiation Protection Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our nuclear reactors and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) programs to minimize radiation exposure to employees and the public.
- Manage and oversee the Radiation Protection Department, including supervising staff and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with plant operations and maintenance teams to ensure safe and efficient operation of nuclear reactors.
- Develop and maintain technical programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
- Participate in business planning, budgeting, and performance reviews to ensure effective management of department resources.
- Bachelor's degree in Health Physics or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in radiation protection at a nuclear reactor facility.
- Successful completion of core supervisory/management training and development programs.
- Technical knowledge of regulatory and industry standards for effective ALARA programs.
- Strong knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations, Station Technical Specifications, and Final Safety Analysis Report documents.
