Position Overview: In this role, you will operate with minimal oversight to identify and execute product strategies, marketing initiatives, and promotional campaigns. You will manage all facets of product oversight, which includes defining requirements, gathering feedback from surgical professionals, crafting product messaging, launching products, engaging with sales teams and customers, and forecasting product performance to align with ATEC's objectives.
Collaboration: This position requires extensive collaboration with various departments including Sales, Development, Finance, Supply Chain, Surgeon Education, and Sales Training. You will also engage significantly with surgeon clients to address both new product needs and support for existing offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a segment of the product portfolio from inception to phase-out.
- Assist in formulating marketing strategies by analyzing economic indicators, outlining surgical product requirements, and identifying the needs of surgeon clients.
- Drive market share growth in the U.S. by developing comprehensive marketing plans and training programs for each product.
- Foster relationships with surgeon clients through tailored customer relations programs and strategic company presence at industry events.
- Create sales materials, streamline customer service processes, and develop product forecasts to support the assigned product line.
- Provide leadership in the design, development, and implementation of products and services within cross-functional teams.
- Identify current and future product priorities by assessing market trends.
- Enhance professional knowledge by participating in training, reviewing industry publications, and engaging in professional networks.
- Participate in marketing activities such as seminars, trade shows, and conventions.
- Manage and mentor Product Managers to execute effective marketing strategies.
- Oversee the operating budget and daily management to achieve financial targets.
- Willingness to travel 15-40% as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing medical device products, particularly those with a technological component.
- Proven track record in product commercialization.
- Ability to assess trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Strong leadership skills for cross-functional team management.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Capability to multitask within a cross-functional team and matrix management structure.

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is required. Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of successful experience in medical device marketing management, with direct involvement in marketing and product management.
A proven history of analytical marketing skills and innovation is essential. Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and a comprehensive understanding of marketing functions, operating room specialties, and a successful track record in influencing product development are also required.
For roles requiring access to hospital facilities, candidates must be eligible for and maintain credentials at all necessary hospitals, including meeting any applicable physical or vaccination requirements.

Compensation: Alphatec Spine, Inc. adheres to state and federal wage and hour laws. Compensation is determined based on qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity.
Salary Range: $110,000 to $150,000 Full-Time Annual Salary.
