Key Responsibilities- Preventative Maintenance: Participate in our preventative maintenance program to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment in guest rooms, public spaces, and hotel facilities.
- Communication: Effectively and professionally communicate with guests, co-workers, and supervisors to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Safety and Security: Ensure all fire and safety inspections and protocols are completed, and any discrepancies are corrected.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to discuss scope of, and products and materials used in, repair activities.
- Inventory Management: Monitor tools, supplies, and inventories of the maintenance department and place orders with approved vendors as needed.
- Work Environment: Maintain working spaces in a safe and clean condition.
- Guest Service: Communicate directly with front desk for guest service request issues and housekeeping for work orders.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other tasks and jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
- Positive Attitude: Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Communication Skills: Verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergency situations.
- Maintenance Skills: Basic maintenance skills are required, including proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
- Technical Skills: Must be proficient in Windows operating systems, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older to perform this job.
- Technical Education: Technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
- Licensed Tradesperson: Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) is preferred.
- Work Experience: At least 2 years of work-related experience is preferred.
- Equipment Management: Experience in carrying all equipment (e.g., keys, phones, pager, tools, radio) to maintain preparedness to always carry out work tasks.
- Hotel Experience: Experience in a hotel, apartment, or a related field is preferred.
