Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Travel Echo Technician to join our team at Augusta Health. This role requires specific certifications and expertise in echocardiography to provide exceptional patient care.

Certification Requirements
  • Credentials: ARDMS RDCS or CCI RDS required.
Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Experience with EMR: Familiarity with Meditech is preferred.
  • Average Daily Patient Volume: 8-10 patients.
  • Uniform: Black scrubs are required.
  • Travel Requirement: Must be willing to travel within a 50-mile radius; local travelers will not be considered.
Essential Skills

Key skills required for this position include:

  • Adult Echocardiography: Proficiency in 3-D Echo, Bubble Studies, Imaging with Contrast Agents, M-Mode, and Pharmacologic Stress Echo.
  • Portable Studies: Ability to conduct Right Ventricular Inflow Tract (RVIT) and Right Ventricular Outflow Tract (RVOT) assessments.
  • Advanced Procedures: Experience with Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) and Treadmill Stress Echo.
  • Equipment Proficiency: Familiarity with GE and Philips equipment.
Professional Knowledge

Applicants should have experience performing procedures in ICU/ED settings, including 12 lead EKG and Isolation Precautions.

Work Schedule

This position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with on-call duties approximately once every 4-5 weeks for a week at a time.
